Dental Crowns

What is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers and protects a damaged or weakened tooth. Whether it’s from decay, an old filling, or a root canal, a crown strengthens the tooth structure and restores its appearance.

At Aesthetika Dental Studio in Kingston Upon Thames, we specialise in ceramic crowns that match your natural teeth. We offer Emax, Lava and all types of Zirconia ceramic crowns, which are strong, stain-resistant, and ideal for front and back teeth.

  • Cracked or fractured teeth
  • Teeth with large fillings
  • Root canal-treated teeth
  • Severely worn or misshapen teeth
  • Cosmetic improvement of discoloured teeth
  • To cover a dental implant

Dental Bridges

What Is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge closes the gap using a false tooth, anchored securely with crowns (tooth cap) placed on either side.

We provide both traditional ceramic bridges and metal-free alternatives to help restore bite strength, prevent teeth from shifting, and improve overall appearance.

Perfect for:

  • Replacing one to three missing teeth
  • Restoring confidence in your bite
  • Preventing jaw misalignment due to gaps

Ceramic Restorations

We believe in minimally invasive dentistry, preserving as much of your natural tooth as possible. That’s why we prefer ceramic inlays, onlays, and crowns. They’re durable, highly aesthetic, and biocompatible.

Our approach:

  • No unnecessary drilling – only the damaged area is treated
  • Tailored ceramics – colour-matched and precision-crafted
  • No metal – for a natural translucency and better biocompatibility

All ceramic restorations (like onlays and overlays) are great when a filling isn’t enough, but a full crown would be too much. They’re perfect for molar repair and tooth damage, giving strength and stability with minimal sacrifice.

FAQs

With proper care, ceramic crowns and bridges can last 10–15 years or more. Good oral hygiene and regular check-ups are key to their longevity.

The total cost of your treatment will vary depending on the complexity of the case, however our tooth-coloured crowns start from £795.

Dental crowns and bridges can be made of quite a few different materials including, porcelain/ceramic, metal bonded, gold and silver.

  • Porcelain / Ceramic Crowns and bridgesare the most natural looking and ideal for front teeth. Examples include Emax, Lava and Zirconia Crowns.
  • Metal bonded crowns and bridgesconsists of a metal core which sites over the tooth. The metal core is covered by a porcelain/ceramic top layer which provides the final tooth layer. Strong, durable and more affordable than a full porcelain or ceramic crown.
  • Gold Crowns and bridgesare made from a gold alloy which, although not natural looking, give a unique aesthetic look but is also very strong and rarely chips or breaks.
  • Silver crowns and bridgesare made from a metal alloy. It is very much like a gold crown but of course silver, and is less expensive than a gold crown
