Ageing is a process that eventually affects all of us. The appearance of our face typically changes with age. Loss of muscle tone and thinning skin gives the face a flabby or drooping appearance, causing our skin to appear wrinkled – to some extent wrinkles cannot be avoided.
Botulinum toxin, most commonly known as Botox®, is a highly purified toxin that can temporarily erase or reduce these wrinkles. Common problem areas include:
Lines and wrinkles are caused when overactive muscles contract, reducing the collagen in the skin and creating tiny creases. The loose skin between these muscles is what we all know as wrinkles.
Dermal fillers work by weakening those injected muscles, therefore minimizing the creases between them and reducing the wrinkles.
Typically visible results are usually seen within 3-5 days, however it can take up to 2 weeks to see full results.
At Aesthetika Dental Studio we strive to offer our patients the best treatment options
The anti-wrinkle treatment itself is not painful. Pain is associated with the needle-stick, however, the needles we use at Aesthetika Dental Studio are the finest on the market. Therefore patient discomfort is minimal.
Your desired wrinkle reduction effects will be discussed during your initial consultation. The areas that you wish to improve and the dosage can be tailored to your wishes. The methods we use aim to deliver a wrinkle-free, not expression-free look – we aim to deliver a fresh and natural outcome, rather than a ‘frozen’ look to the skin!
The wrinkle reduction treatments that we offer here at Aesthetika Dental Studio are not permanent – Botox usually lasts from 3-6 months.
