What To Expect
The treatment of Zoom!® teeth whitening is a relatively straight forward, pain-free procedure. You could be walking out of Aesthetika Dental Studio in just over an hour, with a dazzling white smile. A fraction of the time needed by most tooth whitening systems!
The Zoom!® laser activated whitening gel’s active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide. As the Hydrogen Peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching coloured substances while the structure of the tooth is unchanged. The Zoom!® laser light activates the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. A study has shown that use of the Zoom!® patented lamp increases the effectiveness of the Zoom! gel by 26% or more, giving an average improvement of 8 shades.
Your dentist will supply you with post-whitening aftercare instructions, as well as advice on flossing and cleaning your new teeth. If followed, you can expect your teeth to maintain their new colour for up to 12 months.
As with all teeth whitening product, Zoom!® is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.
